This was a great experience for my family and our dog Norman. This Kennel has a very spacious facility and friendly staff. They offer an active military discount! Awesome!! I picked up our 4 legged family member and he even smelled better than when I dropped him off. Awesome! Definitely bringing Norman back if we have to leave town in the future. Such a great experience. Highly recommend to all.

What a wonderful place to put a dog in Daycare and know he is going to be safe. We are from out of town and was treated great making reservations over the phone. Dropping Tucker off was stress free and we knew he was in good hands. Thank you again for taking care of our baby boy.

The staff are friendly and professional. When I pick up my dogs, they leave there looking happy and frisky as pups.

The staff makes this the place to leave your dog while traveling! They love dogs and it shows. They treat my dog like their own with nice air-conditioned/heated rooms, beds, and outdoor run area for the dogs. Special attention is paid to the safety of your dog by separating the animals during their outdoor time. Their prices are more than fair, with no extra fees for passing a deadline pickup time. We've been using them for a couple years now and I've been happy each time.

Important Requirements Before you Visit

In order for your dog to be eligible to stay with us they must be current on the following vaccinations:

  • Distemper/Parvo Vaccine
  • Negative Heartworm Test

Overall health of your dog

Your dog MUST be in good health in order to board with us here at Brandywine Kennels. While we would love the opportunity to care for your dogs, we will not compromise their health nor the health of other dogs we have staying here with us.

In saying that, please take a minute to read the following if you are boarding a Geriatric Dog:

We are capable of caring for elderly dogs. However, PLEASE take into consideration the quality of life and the overall general health of your dog before you board him/her. If your dog needs assistance to get up and assistance walking outside 4 times everyday, you should rethink boarding your dog. If your dog cannot hold his/her bowels anymore, you should rethink boarding your dog.

This has nothing to do with our capability, instead, we are thinking about your dog if it is in this condition. Consider the stress of putting a geriatric dog in a kennel that cannot walk without help nor hold its bowels. The stress is enormous.

In our PROFESSIONAL opinion, it is NOT recommended that you board a dog that cannot move around freely in the run and get up and go outside for fresh air and new scenery 4 times a day.

Food and Meal Time

You may choose to provide your dog’s food from home or have us supply their meals. We feed Purina One All Natural Lamb and Rice. It is a dry dog food. The price of boarding is the same either way.

If you bring their own food it is recommended, but not required, that you pre-package each meal in a zip-lock baggie. This is indeed a help to us but it also guarantees that we feed the exact amount of food that you intend for us to feed.

Medications for your Dog

We are able to administer your medications at no extra charge.

We have created a convenient, printable checklist for boarding to make sure your dog is well on their way to having a great time with use!
